Ashley Simela, DO, FAAOS

Dr. Ashley Simela, DO, FAAOS, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with specialized fellowship training in spinal surgery. He earned his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by an internship at Northwell Health. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency through the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center Regional Program, where he served as Chief Resident.

Following residency, Dr. Simela was selected for advanced fellowship training at the Cedars-Sinai Spine Center in Los Angeles, a leading institution in the field of spine surgery. There, he received comprehensive training in the operative and non-operative management of complex spinal disorders affecting both adults and children. His fellowship also provided a strong foundation in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques.

Dr. Simela has contributed to both clinical and translational research in orthopaedics, including investigations in spinal tissue engineering and implant technology. He remains active in academic circles, with multiple publications and national presentations to his credit. His clinical scope includes spinal deformity, degenerative spine conditions, and orthopedic trauma, with a strong focus on evidence-based, multidisciplinary care.
