Biography
Dr. Munif Hussain, DO, MS, CAQSM is a board-certified physician with specialized training in Non-Operative Orthopedics and Primary Care Sports Medicine. His practice emphasizes non-surgical approaches to musculoskeletal conditions, supported by a strong foundation in sports medicine and advanced procedural skills.
Dr. Hussain earned his medical degree and Master of Science before completing a Family Medicine residency at NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn. He went on to complete fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Northwell Health – North Shore University Hospital. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Hussain is actively involved in medical education, serving as a core faculty member for Northwell’s fellowship program.
He evaluates and manages a wide range of orthopedic and sports-related conditions, including joint injuries, soft tissue concerns, and repetitive strain disorders. His training includes the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and he integrates evidence-based treatments to support patients of all backgrounds and activity levels.
Dr. Hussain is multilingual, offering care in Bengali, English, and Spanish to better serve a diverse patient population.
