Fellowship-trained in Primary Care Sports Medicine and residency-trained in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Mandil brings advanced clinical training in the evaluation and non-surgical management of orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries associated with motor vehicle collisions, workplace incidents, athletic participation, and other traumatic injuries.
His experience further strengthens the practice’s sports medicine services, adding fellowship-trained expertise in Primary Care Sports Medicine to its multidisciplinary physician team.
Fellowship-Trained Sports Medicine Expertise
Dr. Mandil earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine before completing residency training in Emergency Medicine. He subsequently completed an ACGME-accredited Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at SUNY Upstate University Hospital, where he received advanced training in the diagnosis and non-surgical management of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
During his fellowship, Dr. Mandil served as a team physician, providing medical coverage for Division I student-athletes at Colgate University and Le Moyne College. His professional accomplishments include the Award for Excellence and Leadership in Teaching and the Distinguished Teaching Resident Award, recognizing his contributions to medical education during residency.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Mandil volunteers as a physician for the TCS New York City Marathon, participating in medical coverage for one of the world’s largest endurance sporting events.
